Penobscot River Paddling Trail

Volunteer

The Penobscot River Paddling Trail is a grassroots, community effort. Volunteers provide critical help by adopting campsites along the trail and completing annual maintenance and monitoring tasks. This allows us to keep the trail free and open for all.

Campsite adopters help open a campsite in the spring and close the campsite in the fall. Work may involve setting access stairs, collecting sign-in box data, checking visibility of signage, ensuring structures survived spring flood, etc.
